The ECMI Leadership Manual was developed from a simple but profound conviction: the Church will never rise above the quality of its workers and leaders.
For years, churches around the world have struggled with the same challenge. The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Many believers desire to serve God but have never been intentionally equipped for ministry, leadership, and spiritual responsibility.
The ECMI Leadership Manual was created to address that need.
Built upon Scripture and practical ministry experience, the manual provides a comprehensive framework for developing workers and leaders who can serve effectively in their homes, churches, communities, and nations. It emphasizes character, servant leadership, sound doctrine, stewardship, team building, ministry philosophy, and the practical responsibilities of leadership.
Rather than focusing on titles or positions, the manual focuses on preparing men and women to faithfully carry responsibility, care for people, and advance the work of God. The goal is not simply to produce leaders, but to produce mature workers who can strengthen others and help fulfill Christ's mission in the earth.
Today, the principles contained within the ECMI Leadership Manual are being applied across multiple nations and continue to serve as a foundational training resource for the ongoing development of workers throughout the ECMI network.

The Jethro Project began with a question that transformed everything:
What is Jesus' vision for His Church?
Driven by a deep burden to see the Church function as described in Scripture and modeled in the Book of Acts, Tom Harkness searched the Bible from Genesis to Revelation to identify the principles that produce healthy, growing, and sustainable ministry.
What emerged was a powerful discovery.
The greatest limitation facing the Church was not a lack of vision, buildings, programs, or resources. The greatest need was workers.
The Jethro Project provides a biblical framework for identifying, training, equipping, and mobilizing workers for the work of ministry. Drawing heavily from the example of Jethro's counsel to Moses in Exodus 18 and the New Testament model of equipping the saints, the project focuses on multiplying capable workers rather than concentrating ministry in the hands of a few individuals.
The result is a reproducible model that empowers ordinary believers to become active participants in the mission of God. Through worker multiplication, leadership development, and biblical training, the Jethro Project seeks to strengthen churches, steward revival, and help fulfill the Great Commission.
What began as a Bible study has now become a foundational training system that is helping shape ministry efforts across multiple nations around the world.
Across multiple nations, what is unfolding cannot be reduced to a single gathering, leader, or season. Entire regions are responding to the gospel—at a pace and scale that demands care, structure, and humility.
This is not enthusiasm that flares and fades.
It is sustained spiritual awakening—measured in lives changed, communities reshaped, leaders raised, and churches multiplied faster than traditional systems can keep up.
With this growth comes a sobering responsibility.
When tens of thousands respond to Christ, the question is no longer if God is moving—but whether the Church will be prepared to care for what He is doing.
That responsibility is the work we have been given.
